Can’t miss that blue box in the Kroger pasta aisle! I grabbed some Rigatoni while I was at it. Pasta is a real crowd pleaser in this family and Barilla is a brand I trust for great tasting and high quality pasta.

What You Need:

1 lb. chicken breast (3 breasts)

2 cloves garlic minced

1 14 oz. can chicken broth

2 cups Barilla® Classic Blue Box Penne

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4 tsp. cajun seasoning

1/2 tsp. dried basil

salt and pepper to taste

What You Do:

Cut the chicken breasts into pieces and coat in the cajun seasoning.

Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken to pan and cook for 3 minutes. The chicken should be browned and cooked through. Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for another minute.

Pour the broth, cream, basil and pasta right into the pan with the cooked chicken.

Stir the mixture.

Bring it to a boil then cover and reduce to a simmer. Simmer 15-20 minutes or until the pasta is tender.

Stir in cheeses until melted and creamy. If sauce is thicker than you like, add a touch more cream. If the sauce is thinner than you like, add a bit more cheese.
